Vitamin D dissolves in fats and is absorbed from a healthy diet including sprouted seeds, mushrooms, sunflower seeds and wheat germ. It can be made within the body, as well as by direct sunshine and ultraviolet light sources reaching the skin to trigger vitamin D synthesis.
